St. Jorge Portuguese-style Queijo Cheese (8 oz.)
Our Portuguese-style Queijo St. Jorge is our family recipe for a distinct-flavored cheese. Like the St. Jorge cheese made in the Azores Islands, it has a complex, sharp flavor. Our St. Jorge cheese is aged up to three years before it reaches the consumer. It is our sharpest cheese produced, but after the initial bite, the flavor turns smooth and creamy, making it an excellent addition to any hors d’oeuvres tray.
All of our cheeses are made with Grade-A milk just hours old from our dairy farm. We only use milk from our morning milking to ensure the highest quality and value. All of our cows are rBST- and rBGH-free, because we feel that quality control starts with our herd.
Our St. Jorge Queijo won a silver medal at the 2008 Los Angeles County Fair and second place at the 2008 American Cheese Society Competition.
